vdactsay it vee-dact

Undo for every file your agent touches.

Every save is a version. No commits, no branches, no ceremony. Roll any file back to any save it ever had, and see exactly what changed between any two.

Like redact, but nothing is ever lost.

Kept beside the file

Enroll a directory once. From then on every write lands as a numbered version in a store next to the file. Nothing to stage, nothing to commit, nothing to remember.

Any two versions, diffed

History, diff and restore for any file, by number. Deletes are undoable too. Git stays whatever it was; vdact sits underneath it and does not care.

Where the agent works

A command line, a piped batch, and an MCP server, so a coding agent can check a file out, save, and roll back without a human in the loop. Windows and macOS.

Early access. vdact is the version control inside 0verload, the agentic coding environment, where it ships as the 0vc executable. A standalone download for this page is on its way.
